Taryn learned to play lacrosse growing up in the north shore of Boston. She attended grade school at Shore Country Day School in Beverly and high school at Brooks School in North Andover where she was tri-captain. An exceptional student-athlete “TK” matriculated at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine where she participated in both lacrosse and field hockey. She was named New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Rookie of the Year in field hockey and 1st Team All-American and NESCAC Player of the Year her junior year. Taryn passed away suddenly of septicemia in January of 2006 at the age of 21, while studying abroad at the National University of Ireland (NUI) in Galway.
The “T3K” Lacrosse Tournament honors Taryn, her number, and also we honor the game, we celebrate the pure fun and enjoyment of playing the game of lacrosse but always with a smile as Taryn would have wanted it.
