Welcome to Tribal U13 Girls Lacrosse!
On behalf of the Tribal board and the coaching staff, we would like to welcome you to Tribal U13 girls lacrosse. We are excited for the spring season which we know will be an educational, fun, and rewarding experience for the girls.
Important Dates:
December: Registration opens for the Spring season and continues into the new year. Late fees do apply, see our registration page for more information.
Early February: Welcome message from Age Group Directors with more information on the season.
Mid-March: Indoor practice begins.
Mid-April: Outdoor practice and games begin, weather permitting.
Early June: Season ends and the Tribal end of season BBQ!
Practices:
Generally, there are two practices per week on weekdays. Indoor practices begin mid-March, outdoor starts mid-April weather permitting.
Games:
All games are on Sunday. Game dates, times, and locations will be added to the site and distributed to parents as soon as they are available. Usually, schedules are finalized in early April.
Practice/Game Policy:
We appreciate that given the time pressures, not everyone can make every practice. We ask that players arrive 5 to 10 minutes early for practice to allow time to get their gear on. On game days, players must arrive at least ½ hour prior to the start of the game so coaches can warm up and prepare the roster.
Zero Tolerance:
The Tribal Lacrosse Board of Directors has adopted a No Tolerance Policy toward fighting or any other behavior that deviates from acceptable sportsmanship during games, practices, or any event sponsored by this organization. Each infraction will be reviewed by the Board resulting in either suspension or ejection from the program.
Indoor Practice Rules:
Tribal is one of the few programs fortunate enough to secure pre-season, indoor practice facilities. Appropriate conduct at any indoor facility is expected.
A few rules to be aware of:
· No unattended player drop-off – please escort your player to the field
· No players or siblings running/roaming the facility
· No ball playing in the hallway or outside the playing surface
· Only players and coaches are permitted on field space. No parents or siblings are allowed on the field at any times.
Communication:
Our coaches are available after practice to discuss specific issues you or your player may have. We are also available via email and telephone. All team information regarding games and practices will be communicated to parents. If you have any questions or comments, please let us know as soon as possible. Please make sure we have your preferred email address.
Health Issues/Injuries:
Please contact your coaches and age group director directly with any health issue or other concerns you may have. If a player is injured at either a practice or a game, please alert one of the coaches.
Uniforms:
Teams utilize Tribal reversible pinnies or jerseys for game days. Please see the Uniform Page for ordering information.
Equipment:
All players should have a stick, eye gear, mouthguard, water bottle, and additional layers as needed for all games and practices. Please label all gear and equipment.
What stick to get? Get a GIRLS stick, then look for a youth stick, and preferably one with a shorter shaft. If you already have a stick, then we can cut the shafts so it is comfortable. The stick should last them about 3 years even if we cut it. Brine and STX make nice youth sticks for $30-$40. There are many options online and some local retailers even have beginner packages available that include a stick, bag, and eye gear.
Thank you for your time and interest. Have a great season!
